 WELCOME TO V2 LIFE

V2 LIFE is a brand new work in Vanuatu aiming at training young people to become all God wants them to be through both non-formal training within the context of our farm and formal training within the context of our training center.
V2 LIFE is a YWAM ministry and is part of the family of ministries of Youth With A Mission International (YWAM) here in Vanuatu.

Check out some of our staff openings below as we have some exciting roles waiting for the right people to take them on. We are especially looking to find those among you who are interested in career missions meaning 5 years and more. However, there are still options for those of you who want to try out missions on a more short-term basis first.

NEWS

Our team is growing and we have quite a housing problem for our ministry. By Oct/Nov we will have to have housing for 3 families and several single staff. We will need to build more buildings quickly in order to cope with the growth that God is giving us.

Our Medical Outreach together with Marine Reach in October/November on the islands of Tanna and Futuna are confirmed. We will do one week of dental clinics on Futuna and two weeks of combined dental/optometry on Tanna, followed by two weeks of eye surgery on Tanna.

Our first building has taken on some good shape over the past weeks and is almost done. Thanks to those who helped us build it.

After our very successful medical outreaches in July, we have started discussions and prayer together with Marine Reach New Zealand about next year's possible outreaches. We will try to reach more remote areas of Vanuatu which will take a lot of planning and preparation, but will undoubtedly be very effective as some of these remote islands get hardly any public service delivery.

We are very relieved (and excited) to be able to report that we have been able to purchase an almost new 20ft container. We would like to sincerely thank all individuals and the Reformed Church of Ittigen in Switzerland for their generous support. We now have to prepare concrete footings for it and then we will move it to its new location, all before the end of this month.

We are in great need of a shipping container for storage purposes. Over the next couple of months we will have a time of transition onto our ministry site. The first buildings will be ready to live in, but not have final security yet, meaning whenever there's nobody there, the place will turn into a 'help yourself' or 'take what you can' opportunity. Until final secure windows are installed, we will have to be able to store things in the container. After that, it will serve as a lockable shed, to securely store our equipment and tools.
We need this container within the next few weeks as we face sort of a mid November deadline where this needs to be in place on our ministry site. Such a container will cost around USD 2500 here in Vanuatu. If you would like to help us with the purchase of this container you can click on the donate button below. Donations are processed through our foundation in Switzerland.

July was all about Medical Mission and the two different Marine Reach Outreaches to Vanuatu. After months of preparation, meetings with Government authorities and endless visits to the Customs Department it was finally time for the two teams to get to Vanuatu.
We had a General Medical Team do 2 weeks of clinics in North Efate. They treated over 1000 patients, did dental ed and screenings in 8 schools (over 1000 students), visited 8 villages and 3 islands, delivered one healthy baby, pulled over 400 teeth and much more. Most important of all, every patient treated was also shared the love of God and was offered prayer.
Our second team was a specialist Ophthalmology team that went to Luganville, Santo. In two weeks they performed over 80 eye surgeries, cataracts and pterygium, and so restored the sight of at times virtually blind people. Read some of their stories by clicking below.

Eye Surgery Outreach Stories
On our first day of surgery at the Northern District Hospital in Luganville, an elderly Ni-van man was brought to us by the name of Garae Namoli. He had cataracts in both eyes rendering him virtually completely blind. His friend Rupert (who lives in the same village) had heard there was an eye team visiting the hospital and so told Garae to come. It was a long journey to the hospital; three days by foot, ... (more)

A Construction team from a church in New Zealand has completed a two week project with us building our first house on our land. The weather played its part, the needed material was almost all available, and the funds the team had raised in New Zealand prior to coming were exactly sufficient to complete what they had planned to do. We now have a solid small house structure. It is still lacking the walls and the interior, which will be the next step of the project. Click on the photo below to see more pictures.

Yes, we do host YWAM outreach teams. We encourage especially outreach teams from second level schools to work with us.
If you are considering sending an outreach team to stay and work with us, please keep in mind that we need to know at least 3 months ahead of your arrival in Vanuatu in order for us to set up a successful outreach for your team.
